Lockdown - Chiusa fra quattro mura è una raccolta che comprende quaranta testi partoriti in condizione di solitudine interiore; quando tristezza, sensazione di soffocamento, allucinazione e incubo notturno prendono campo nella mente ormai troppo stanca per razionalizzare.
Come fantasmi di Goya i "cattivi pensieri" hanno il sopravvento e lacerano l'anima. Il tentativo di "nuotare" tra queste onde distruttive spesso non riesce e l'unica strada per uscirne è scrivere su un foglio bianco ciò che fa male dentro. Poesia quindi come cura, protezione e salvezza per "restare vivi".
Maria Antonietta Oppo è nata a Cagliari. È laureata in Biologia e risiede ad Arezzo. È sposata, madre di due figli (Carlotta e Tristano Rafaele) e nonna di tre splendidi nipotini: Ettore, Vittoria e Gabriele.
Ha lavorato nella P. A. ed è in pensione dal 2015.
Scrive poesie dal 2002 e ha pubblicato una ventina di opere poetiche. Sono presenti in rete diverse sue video-poesie e recensioni. Numerose sue liriche, negli anni, hanno ricevuto premi e menzioni d'onore.

Lockdown – Locked within four walls is a collection of forty poems created in a condition of interior solitude; when sadness, sense of suffocation, hallucination and nightmare spread in the mind now too tired to rationalise.
Like Goya’s ghosts, the “bad thoughts” prevail and tear up the soul. The attempt to “swim” among these destructive waves often fails, and the only road to get out is to write down on a piece of white paper what is hurting inside. Therefore, poetry like cure, protection, and safety to “stay alive”.
Maria Antonietta Oppo was born in Cagliari. She has graduated in Biology and now she lives in Arezzo. She is married, mother of two (Carlotta and Tristano Rafaele) and grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren: Ettore, Vittoria, and Gabriele. She has worked in the Italian public administration and since 2015 she is retired.
She writes poems since 2002 and has published about twenty poetic works. Online there are various video-poems and reviews. Many poems throughout the years have received awards and honourable mentions.
